Internet Acceptable Use

Library Computer Policies

The Wellsville Carnegie Public Library is pleased to offer this service to our patrons. OPLIN access will allow our patrons to utilize information resources from around the world. It will enhance the Library's mission to provide for the informational and educational needs of the community. In order to offer quality service to all, potential users must demonstrate adequate computer skills and agree to follow the policy guidelines outlined below. In addition, due to the controversial nature of some material which may be available, a parent or legal guardian must grant permission for any child under the age of 18 to use the workstation.

POLICY GUIDELINES

Borrowing

Any resident of Ohio is eligible for a library card from the Wellsville Carnegie Public Library. A card is free to citizens showing proof of current address. Registration for children under 18 must be signed by a parent or guardian. Replacement fee for a lost card is 50 cents.

Computers & Internet

Computers and Wireless Access

The library has available to the public seven computer terminals with Internet access and text editing software.  Black and white printing is available for 25 cents per page.  Wireless access is free.  For more information about our Acceptable Use of the Internet policy, please click here.

Fax Service

Patrons can send or receive faxes through our library.

To send a fax, bring in the papers you need faxed and the number to where it is being faxed.  We do not offer cover pages at the library.  The cost of sending a fax is $1.00 per page.

To receive a fax, have the party sending the fax dial 1-330-532-3127.  You can pick up your fax at the circulation desk.  The cost of receiving a fax is 25 cents per page.

After 30 days, unclaimed faxes will be shredded.

Talking Books

The Talking Book Program provides free recorded books, magazines and playback equipment to approximately 15,000 eligible blind, visually
impaired, physically disabled, and reading disabled Ohio residents.  For more information or assistance, please contact the library and ask for Lori.

Interlibrary Loan

If you would like to borrow a book, audiobook, CD, or DVD that is not available at our library, you can ask a librarian to request your materials from another library.  We will try to request your materials from one of our participating SEO Consortium libraries.
